Samson

About a week ago, Dewey (one of the crew) came out and he brought his dog, Samson (also called Sam), which he does every year when he comes out to work. Sam is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and he's a really nice dog. Dewey had to go to town 2 days ago and help Art on some work he's doing there so I have been taking care of Sam. In past years Niko and Samson have had bad fights over being the dominant dog (I forgot to mention that Sam is around 8-9 yrs old).

So when I take Sam for walks I have to put Niko inside so they don't kill each other! Today I was in the yard with Sam playing fetch, and all of a sudden Sam starts growling deep in his throat, here comes  Niko running down the walkway. I felt fear in the pit of my stomach cause I know that there was no way I could stop them from fighting. Niko like a bullet rammed right into him and he was all over Sam. I tried to stop by pulling Samson by the collar and yelling at Niko but of corse they didn't even notice me. My dad ( he accidentally let Niko out not knowing that he was ready to bolt) came down the board walk and got the dogs to stop just long enough for me to grab Samson and for him to get Niko away. While I brought Sam back to his house I noticed that he was limping. I couldn't stop shaking afterward; I had always been worried about Niko getting loose. From now on we are going to be chaining Niko up when I take Sam for a walk.

This morning I watched The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Princess Catherine, and it was amazing!!

Beautiful Easter

 I had a great Easter and one of the things that made it great was that it was sunny most of the day (most of the day, that's pretty good for where we live). We had a fun Easter egg hunt but there was one egg we never found and my mom (who hide the eggs) forgot where she put it. Today though I found it under the board walk, lol.

Today me, Saylor and my dad went crabbing for an hour and we got 32 crab!! That's pretty good and 2 of the 32 crab where females so we took them to our own bay and dumped them off so maybe our bay will be a little more populated.

Me and Coby

A week ago I noticed a humming bird fly by so I put out a hummingbird feeder and only a couple hours later a female came to the feeder and then a day or to ago I saw a male at the feeder. I just love hummingbirds they are soo beautiful and tiny.

This is the first female I saw at the feeder.

Mr. Handsome here, was chasing the female in the upper photo for the hole day!

April Fools Day!!!!

Today I went to the Kings house and when we went outside to the the park I hijacked one of the swings on the swing set  (I took the chain and unhooked it from the hook)  and when Noah sat on the swing it fell apart and he almost fell into a big mud puddle that was right underneath it!! April Fools!!!

Yesterday we were supposed to go to PE but Saylor came down with the flu so we had to stay home. Today she is feeling much better though.We were going to do a party for her on Saturday since we won't be in town for her birthday but because she got sick we had to reschedule it for Sunday.

A week ago my dad went out to the lodge just to see how things were running and he got back yesterday but while he was out there a martin (maybe the same one I took a picture of) broke in and ransacked the house. My dad heard the martin at 4:00am in the morning and came down and saw it in the laundry room sticking its head out a hole in the roof!! He tried to scare it off but it started growling at him so he went up stairs and got his gun (cause there was no way he could go back to sleep knowing that a martin was in the house) and he tried to shoot the martin but it wouldn't show it self so he shot thought the roof and got it in the shoulder. He put it outside in a big pot while he cleaned up the mess it had made, but when he came back to get rid of it the martin was gone!!! My dad let the dogs out and they ran in whatever direction it had gone and dad heard the dogs and the martin fighting in the woods. Later in the morning he looked for the martin but couldn't find it. A couple days later when Kevin was patching up the hole in the roof another martin jumped out of the hole and almost knocked him off the roof!! I am soo glad that all this happened out at the lodge when we were here!!

Bike Riding

This afternoon I went bike riding at the North Point Higgins school with some friends for a while and had a lot of fun.  Now I'm pretty tired and my shoulders are sore because there is a spinning thing-a-mubober on the playground there which spins really fast and if you don't hold on tight you fly off but its really fun!! lol

Arts New Puppy... Coby

I got here in town yesterday! The ride in was really smooth and this time Saylor didn't cry.  I will be here for at least a month which is soo awesome!!! Its a lot better than a week!!!

My brother got his puppy, Coby, at the airport yesterday and brought her over so we could see her. He left her here last night cause he couldn't bring her to were he was staying for some reason, then he picked her up this morning. She is soo soo cute but there isn't a puppy that isn't. I wish she could be my little pup cause she is just a doll but I already have an amazing dog.

Oh and my dad got back this morning at 5:00 am!! When I heard his car and I got scared that it was those thieves that have been around here. Then I went out and looked out my window and saw my dad, then went back to bed!! lol
